Investment thesis
Capital Cell runs an equity crowdfunding platform dedicated exclusively to healthtech and biotech companies, ideally from pre-seed through Series A. It raises capital via equity increases of up to EUR 5 million per round, co-investing alongside a lead investor who sets the round's valuation and terms. Projects are screened by its international BioExpert Network of life-science experts and an internal investment committee, with only about 1 in 10 applicants accepted. The platform charges a EUR 1,500 upfront publication fee once approved and an 8% cash commission on funds raised at a successful round's close, holding investor funds with an authorised financial custodian until the capital increase is formalised.
