Investment thesis
AfricInvest targets growth-capital investments in small and medium-sized enterprises well-positioned in their local African markets with potential to scale beyond national borders and become regional champions. It takes significant minority (and occasionally majority) positions with a hands-on, value-adding approach over a medium-to-long holding period of four to six years. Combining financial and industrial expertise, the firm strengthens management teams, improves corporate governance, financial reporting and transparency, and creates synergies through its extensive pan-African and European network. It emphasizes strong governance, environmental and social responsibility, and long-term sustainability, focusing especially on midcap and family-owned businesses in key growth sectors.
