Phillip Samayoa is a venture partner with over 15 years of experience as a biotech investor, executive, and company builder. He most recently was chief scientific officer and chief strategy officer at Generation Bio, where he built business development, portfolio strategy, and discovery research functions and raised over $750M across financings and partnerships. He was previously a principal on the Atlas investment team, co-founded Generation Bio and Dyne Therapeutics, and earlier held roles at Merck's MRL Ventures Fund and Flagship Pioneering; he holds a Ph.D. in systems biology from UC San Diego and dual B.S. degrees from MIT.
