Lisa Sugar is a General Partner at Sugar Capital, an early-stage venture firm focused on the future of commerce. In 2006 she co-founded the media and commerce company POPSUGAR with her husband Brian Sugar, later acquired by Group Nine Media in 2019 and Vox Media in 2022, and she oversaw brand licensing deals with companies including Disney, Target, Old Navy, Kohls, and Ulta. She began her career in advertising at Young and Rubicam and Goodby Silverstein and Partners, wrote the book Power Your Happy, and holds a degree in Psychology and English from George Washington University.
