Garrett Dempsey began his career in life sciences, working in R&D at several San Diego biotech companies before earning a Ph.D. in Metabolic Biology from UC Berkeley. During his doctoral studies he wrote articles on healthspan and longevity for FoundMyFitness, supported pipeline prioritization at an early-stage startup, and developed biotech investment theses through a San Francisco life science collective.
