Cristina Mittermeier, born in Mexico City in 1966, is a conservation photographer, biologist and author who studied Biochemical Engineering in Marine Sciences at ITESM in Mexico and Fine Art Photography at the Corcoran College for the Arts in Washington, D.C. She founded the International League of Conservation Photographers in 2005 and co-founded the ocean conservation nonprofit SeaLegacy in 2014.
