Eric Lefkofsky is the founder and CEO of Tempus, a technology company applying artificial intelligence to healthcare and precision medicine, which he started in 2015 with a personal motivation tied to cancer. Over roughly 25 years he has co-founded a string of technology companies including Groupon, Mediaocean, Echo Global Logistics, InnerWorkings, and Pathos.AI. He is a founding partner of the venture fund Lightbank, which invests in disruptive technologies. Beyond building companies, he established the Lefkofsky Family Foundation with his wife Liz in 2006, teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago, and wrote the book Accelerated Disruption.
