About

Ela Madej is a General Partner at Fifty Years, the seed fund she co-founded in 2015 with fellow Y Combinator alum Seth after relocating to San Francisco. A repeat founder and YC S12 alum, she launched Applicake, a Ruby on Rails and mobile development studio in Krakow, at 21 in 2006, and later co-founded Base CRM, which Zendesk acquired. Before Fifty Years, she was a partner at the Polish venture fund Innovation Nest and was active in the Polish and broader European tech communities until moving to the U.S. in 2014.
