Drew Perkins is the co-founder and CEO of Eridu, a company developing a network switch aimed at addressing network infrastructure limitations for AI. He previously co-founded and led Mojo Vision, where he now serves as Chairman of the Board, and earlier founded or co-founded several networking and communications companies, including Gainspeed (acquired by Nokia), Infinera (where he served as CTO, and which was later acquired by Nokia for $2.3B), OnFiber Communications (acquired by Qwest), and Lightera Networks (acquired by Ciena). He was lead author of the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), has held roles in standards bodies including the IETF, IEEE, OIF, ATM Forum and Internet2, and endowed the Drew D. Perkins Professorship in Advanced Networking and Communications at Carnegie Mellon University.
