Abhishek Mohan grew up in an army family, which meant frequent relocations and exposure to diverse environments. After engineering school, he joined an early-stage startup as a developer, and by age 22 was managing relationships with major enterprise customers across Europe and the US. Following business school, he joined McKinsey & Company, where a global rotation program moved him across three continents over three years. He later became one of the first hires at a nascent Indian startup, where he anchored the sales strategy for the core product line and built a team of over 100 people. That experience gave him exposure to how venture capital drives growth and led him to Peak XV Partners, where he now works with founders. He describes himself as an operator at heart.
