Dan Yu is Chief Financial Officer at Sterling Investment Partners, with more than 25 years of experience in alternative investments focused on growth capital and buy-out funds. His responsibilities include GP/LP accounting and reporting, ILPA reporting for institutional investors, tax estimates and filings, performance analysis and budgeting, and the quarterly valuation process. He also oversees firm-wide compliance, DDQ, LPA and side letter reviews, human resources, and IT infrastructure management.

James W. Soldano is Managing Partner at Sterling Investment Partners, which he first joined in 2005 and rejoined in 2010 following business school. He serves as Chairman of Verdantas and as a director of Aurora Parts & Accessories, Camp, and Markon, and has previously held board roles at companies including Anser Advisory, Ubique Group, Lipari Foods, Marcone, and Service Logic. Before Sterling, he worked at the President's Council of Economic Advisors and in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, and he holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Founded Drum Capital in 2004 to create and manage funds dedicated to deep value, turnaround, and special situation investments.

Patty Xu is Chief Financial Officer at Sterling Investment Partners, with more than 25 years of experience in alternative investments focused on growth capital and buy-out funds. Her responsibilities include GP/LP accounting and reporting, institutional investor reporting under ILPA standards, tax estimates and filings, performance analysis, budgeting, and the quarterly valuation process. She also oversees firm-wide compliance, HR management, IT infrastructure, and participates in DDQ, LPA, and side letter reviews.

Gary Obermiller is a co-founder of Mill City Capital, where he has worked exclusively as an operating executive since 2014. He previously joined GHJ&M as a Managing Director in 2004 and spent 14 years at Deltak in senior roles including President and COO, later serving with its parent Global Power Equipment Group; earlier roles included managerial positions at Graco, Inc. and Econo-Therm Energy Systems Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.

Director of Investments with private equity, M&A and restructuring experience across industrials, consumer and healthcare. Previously a private equity associate at LGT Capital Partners and an associate at Alvarez & Marsal advising on M&A diligence and restructuring.
