Sciety

Malin Lindblom is a co-founder of Sciety and has spent much of her career building and developing financial companies. She holds a degree in business and economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and has over 10 years of experience in finance, venture capital, and business development. Before founding Sciety, she was CFO at the brokerage firm Spring Securities, and her background is in accounting and corporate finance.

Frida Schain has more than 25 years of experience in life science, spanning academic research, pharmaceutical development, and entrepreneurship. She started in medical research at Karolinska Institutet before joining Johnson & Johnson, where she worked in clinical development, medical affairs, health economics, and commercialisation, most recently as a Director in its global commercial strategy organisation. She has also built and scaled data science companies serving the pharmaceutical industry and advised on capital raising and AI solutions for life science. She holds a Master's in Molecular Medicine from Lund University and a PhD in Haematology from Karolinska Institutet, and at Sciety she identifies and analyses life science companies for potential investment.

Maria Nyhage has more than 25 years of experience in life science, largely in international commercial, leadership, and business development roles. She spent 16 years at Galderma in senior commercial positions, including Business Development Manager for EMEA and General Manager for the Nordics, then co-founded Nordic Medical Solutions Scandinavia as VP and Partner, and has consulted for medtech and biotech companies on Nordic product launches. She holds a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology from Uppsala University, and at Sciety she identifies and analyses life science companies for potential investment.

Gunnar Ahlberg is a medical doctor and surgeon with over 40 years of clinical and strategic experience in healthcare. He earned a Ph.D. at Karolinska Institutet and has held senior roles including CEO of Kirurgkliniken Sophiahemmet and Head of Business Development at Praktikertjänst, and remains a researcher at Karolinska Institutet and a board member of EAES. At Sciety, he analyzes potential investments with a focus on clinical relevance and contributes his international healthcare and life science network.

Johan Lund is a physician and former professor with a PhD from Karolinska Institutet and over 25 years of experience in drug development across academia and industry. He has held senior research leadership roles at AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Celgene, focusing on inflammation, immunology, and CNS, including serving as Chief Scientific Officer for Inflammation & Immunology at Pfizer. As Venture Partner at Sciety, he supports the evaluation of investment opportunities and helps portfolio companies translate scientific research to market.

Nick Roelofs has more than 40 years of experience in the life sciences tools and diagnostics industry, including roles as President of Agilent Technologies' Life Sciences Group and Life Science Group Operations Officer at Bio-Rad Laboratories. He holds two PhDs with expertise in chemistry and has advised private equity firms such as Summa Equity and Nordic Capital, including on Olink's sale to Thermo Fisher. At Sciety, he evaluates investment opportunities and supports portfolio company growth.

Bengt Julander has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over four decades, beginning at Astra in 1978 and later serving as Nordic General Manager of Baxter Healthcare in the 1980s. In 2000 he founded the investment company Linc AB, where he serves as Chairman, and has been involved in the growth of several life science companies. He holds a Master's degree in Pharmacy from Uppsala University.

Charlotte Smirnova is a marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years of experience across B2B and B2C sectors. At Sciety, she manages the firm's corporate communications services, drawing on her background in content production, copywriting, language management, and digital communication. She holds a Content Marketing certificate from Berghs School of Communication and has studied journalism at Poppius School of Journalism.

Christina Sterner has over 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, holding roles including manager, project leader, and operational compliance officer. She previously worked as an Operational Compliance Officer at Aon Sweden, where she oversaw compliance, coordinated audits, and led enterprise risk management projects. At Sciety, she handles the administration of investment processes, compliance, and investor support.

Daniel Borg is an IT professional with over twenty years of experience, currently working at Sciety where he supports systems, key processes, and user functions across the business. Before Sciety, he worked as System Administrator in Stockholm University's IT Department, handling integration of the university's knowledge base with ITSM and developing knowledge-sharing strategies. He holds a Computer Science degree from Kungliga Tekniska högskolan.

Dawid Myslinski is a Director at Sciety, a firm focused on Nordic healthcare. He works in corporate finance advisory within the financial services industry, with experience across the life science and technology sectors and skills in equity capital markets, asset management, and trading. Myslinski holds a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from Stockholm University.

Erik Röjvall has experience leading complex transactions and value-creation strategies for owners, boards, and executive teams at both public and private companies. He was previously Partner and Head of Execution, Corporate Finance at Vator Securities, where he led capital raisings, IPOs, and M&A for growth companies, and spent 17 years at Industrivärden as Senior Investment Manager and Head of Equity Research. Earlier, he worked as a strategy consultant at Monitor Group USA. He holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and pursued MBA studies at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Fredrik Niléhn works in corporate finance with a focus on capital raising and M&A for Nordic growth companies in both listed and private settings, working with investors, shareholders, management teams, and boards. At Sciety, he is a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance involved in executing share issues, with responsibilities in project management and stakeholder coordination. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance from Texas Tech University and previously competed for the Swedish national golf team.

Johannes Wallén has more than 15 years of experience in banking and finance. He spent much of his career at Danske Bank, where his roles included Head of Business Management in Private Wealth Management (as part of the Management team Sweden), Head of Client Service Management, and Relationship Manager for clients such as investment funds, pension and insurance companies, and banks. He holds a master's degree in finance from Linköping University.

Malin Bergenstål is a project and financial manager with experience in the private healthcare sector, having held financial management roles at Praktikertjänst and Aleris. Her finance background includes public procurement, project management, M&A, due diligence, and system implementation. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University.

Mats Nilsson is a researcher and entrepreneur in the life sciences. He is a professor at the Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) and a professor of biochemistry and molecular diagnostics in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Stockholm University, and holds a PhD in medical genetics from Uppsala University. His work centers on developing molecular analytical methods to improve diagnostics for infectious diseases and cancer, and he has co-founded several biotech companies.

Tor Sander is a Director at Sciety, where he analyses the research and business cases of life science companies to identify potential investments. He previously spent four years at the Boston Consulting Group advising pharmaceutical companies and healthcare private equity funds, and held roles at a technology-focused growth equity fund, a mid-market buyout fund, and an investment bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Vilton Bastiampillai has more than ten years of experience in the finance industry. Prior to Sciety, he worked as a Client Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Nordea Markets and as a Financial Advisor covering investments, insurance and financing. He previously co-founded a sales services company and an e-sport association, and holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Lund University.

Ylva Predan is a communication specialist with over 15 years of experience and a background in both marketing and finance. Before joining Sciety, she worked as an independent marketing consultant advising startups and tech companies on digital marketing strategy and operations, and previously held communication and finance roles in the non-profit sector. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Stockholm School of Economics.
