Investment thesis
Rhombuz VC invests in what it calls the 'Institutional Prosthetic' — technology that gives Latin America's mid-market and SMEs the same capabilities historically reserved for large enterprises. It targets structural infrastructure across banking, supply chains, logistics, and financial services, where defensibility accumulates through proprietary transaction data, deep API integrations, and customer trust. The firm organizes investments across four pillars: Institutional Prosthetics, Structural Ecosystems, Global Financial Infrastructure, and Media & Entertainment Infrastructure. It anticipates an AI intelligence layer built atop these accumulated data and network assets, arguing that in the AI era models are commodities while unique data access and proprietary rails capture lasting value.
