Investment thesis
Outcast Ventures focuses on the co-founder formation stage, arguing that the best co-founder or founding engineer is rarely already in a founder's network. Through its Catalyst program, it brings together a curated group of top repeat founders and senior operators, colocated in its SF South Park office, to explore values and working styles and decide whether to build a company together. Investors-in-Residence offer guidance on refining ideas. When a co-founder relationship becomes clear, Outcast writes a first check and provides cloud and compute credits, backing teams at the earliest possible point.
