Investment thesis
Cancer Focus Fund invests in oncology therapeutics — including immunotherapies, CAR-T and cell therapies, precision medicine and radiotherapeutics — that are approaching human clinical trials. Leveraging a unique relationship with MD Anderson Cancer Center, the fund sources oncology assets globally and uses a Scientific Advisory Committee of MD Anderson experts to identify candidates ready for trials. Its leadership then applies rigorous risk/reward analysis to select only a few drugs worthy of investment. The fund pairs decades of venture capital experience with MD Anderson's research and clinical-trial expertise, aiming to generate returns for investors while advancing breakthroughs for cancer patients.
