He had already done the hardest kind of scaling: at WeWork he was vice-president of engineering, growing a team of three into a 250-person global research and development centre with groups in Tel Aviv, Singapore and New York. He and Gura first worked together at The Gifts Project, where he was a senior engineer and an early advocate of test-driven development, and which eBay acquired in 2011; he went on to lead engineering teams at eBay and mobile engineering at PayPal.
