Previously at General Motors, he established product incubations, drove innovation operating model implementation across 21+ organizations, and built innovation infrastructure that trained 1,000+ employees in Design Thinking; he is also a co-founder of Pure Paws, which was acquired.

Sumia Shaikh is Corporate Vice President and Head of Platform at New York Life Ventures, where she oversees communications, community, and operations for the company's corporate venture capital business. She brings nearly a decade of experience in venture capital, corporate innovation in pharmaceuticals, and strategy consulting, with prior roles including Director of Marketing, Brand, and Communications at Visible Hands, a VC firm supporting early-stage founders, and founding Chief of Staff and Investor at the same firm. Her background spans partnership development, community engagement, program management, and corporate innovation initiatives across the Boston and New York City innovation ecosystems, with particular focus on digital health and family caregiving sectors.

Ting Lin is a licensed agent with New York Life Insurance Company based in Flushing, New York. She offers insurance and financial products designed to address college funding, retirement planning, extended care costs, and lifetime income strategies for individuals and business owners.
