He began in settlement operations at Sheppards and Chase and Vickers da Costa, later managing pan-European fixed income operations at Citibank/Citicorp in London, and served as Head of London Settlements Operations at Morgan Stanley International. He joined TIR Securities as COO in 1992 and, following its acquisition by E*TRADE, became Managing Director and Global Head of Operations there.
