He started his career at TIR Securities, an institutional stock broker, where he built BECS, an early cross-border Transaction Cost Analysis product; after TIR's acquisition by E*Trade, he and colleagues spun out BECS and grew it until its 2004 acquisition by Citigroup, where he later spent five years, most recently as Head of Electronic Execution for Japanese Equities in Tokyo. At Bendigo he develops investment strategies, sources deal flow, conducts due diligence, structures transactions, and manages portfolio companies, and also advises financial services firms.
