Paul Gompers is an Advisor to Xfund and the Eugene Holman Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, with appointments in the Finance and Entrepreneurial Management areas. He earned an A.B. in biology from Harvard College, an M.Sc. in economics from Oxford University as a Marshall Fellow, and a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard, and previously taught finance at the University of Chicago. His research addresses the structure, governance, and performance of private equity funds, financing and incentives for private firms, and the long-run performance of newly public companies.
