Pardis Mahdavi, Ph.D., is the former president of the University of La Verne and previously held leadership roles including provost and executive vice president at the University of Montana, dean at Arizona State University and the University of Denver, and several positions at Pomona College. Her research addresses gendered labor, human trafficking, migration, human rights, and public health across global and political contexts, and she has authored seven single-authored books along with edited volumes and numerous articles. She serves as a board member for the Lumina Foundation and the Human Trafficking Legal Center.
