Investment thesis
Venture Catalyst Space is described as South Australia's first space incubator/acceleration program, run by Adelaide University's Innovation & Collaboration Centre and backed by the South Australian Space Industry Centre and the State Government's Space Innovation Fund. Launched in 2018, it targets early-stage startups developing new services or products for the space industry. The program offers tailored capability workshops, pitch sessions, one-on-one mentoring, access to a custom-built Adelaide CBD co-working space and university resources, connections to a global pool of industry experts and investors, and a startup community. Participants receive an equity-free stipend of A$10,000 and retain full equity and IP. Graduates may progress to the Growth Ramp scale-up pathway.
