Venture Catalyst backs early-stage startups with the potential for high growth that are developing innovative products, services or business models capable of competing in global markets. Eligibility generally requires an affiliation with Adelaide University, UniSA or the University of Adelaide, and founders must be based in or committed to establishing their business in South Australia. Over a six-month accelerator, participants receive tailored capability workshops, one-to-one mentoring, access to university resources and industry experts, a startup community, and an equity-free stipend of A$10,000. A dedicated social-impact stream supports ventures tackling social or environmental problems. The program is entirely equity-free, letting founders retain full ownership and IP.
