Noaber

Elbert Dijkgraaf is an economist and professor of Empirical Economics of the Public Sector at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He served as a member of the Dutch Parliament for the SGP party from 2010 to 2018. He holds several advisory and supervisory board roles, including owning Dijkgraaf Strategic Consulting B.V.

Jan Peter Balkenende served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 2002 to 2010 and holds the title of Minister of State. He is an External Senior Advisor at EY focused on Corporate Responsibility, Chairman of the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition, Associate Partner at Hague Corporate Affairs, a member of the Club of Madrid, and Emeritus Professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Peter Haasjes studied business administration and worked for a commercial investment fund before moving into healthtech investing. At Noaber he began as an investment manager, later became director of Nextgen Ventures, and since 2023 has also been responsible for Noaber's investment activities. He works within an impact investing framework, aiming for both financial and social returns.

Roel Dekkers works within Nextgen Ventures with startups developing innovative solutions to improve healthcare. He has a background in Biomedical Sciences and experience in the bio- and medtech fields, which he applies to evaluating investment proposals and supporting portfolio companies.

Thijs Schaap is an impact investor at Noaber, where he focuses on companies that use technology to improve healthcare in the Netherlands and Europe while generating both financial returns and positive social impact. He previously worked at a public investment fund, which prepared him for healthtech investing. He works with entrepreneurs domestically and abroad to help develop their ventures.

Annelies van Veldhuizen-Baan is a board member (Bestuurslid) at Noaber. She works as a coordinating primary-care health professional and as an on-call dialysis nurse at various hospitals. She also holds board positions at the Stichting Stewardship Foundation and the Stichting Compassion Foundation.

Berdine Preuter studied office management and business economics and has held various roles within the Noaber network since 2005, most recently as a program manager. She is involved in delivering Noaber's "Sociale Gezondheid" (Social Health) and "Mentale Gezondheid en Veerkracht" (Mental Health and Resilience) programs, supporting promising initiatives and helping strengthen societal organizations.

Johanneke van de Scheur-Baan works in various roles within Noaber, a second-generation entrepreneurial family foundation. She focuses on creating durable and meaningful societal impact.

Maarten Fischer works at Noaber, where he focuses on philanthropic efforts aimed at addressing societal challenges. He describes his work as contributing to solutions that improve health in the Netherlands and address related global challenges.

Marlene van Loo works on the programme team at Noaber, where she focuses on bringing together different stakeholders and fostering collaboration. Her work centers on addressing the root causes of social challenges affecting vulnerable people in the Netherlands.

Paul van Ooik works at Noaber, where he evaluates health-focused companies for both their profitability and their potential to improve healthcare for patients and professionals. He previously worked at VitalHealth, where he gained experience with Noaber's early-stage investments, and at Philips in the M&A team with a focus on medical technology.

Rutger Baan works in the ICT sector as a Senior Solution Manager at IBM Netherlands. He also serves as a board member of the Noaber Foundation, the family foundation, where he is motivated by improving health and driving change.
