Militia Hill Ventures

Founding partner of Militia Hill Ventures and CEO of Spirovant Sciences (formerly Talee Bio), a gene therapy company for inherited respiratory diseases. She previously led Azelon and Locus Pharmaceuticals and held leadership roles at Immunome and Merck; she is also an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

A neuroscientist and co-author of over 70 research and review articles, he is a former Councilor of the Society for Neuroscience and active in science policy and professional development. He graduated from Swarthmore College, earned a PhD from Brown University, and did postdoctoral work at UCSF.

A biopharmaceutical industry veteran with over 25 years of experience translating discovery-stage assets into clinical candidates. He began at Cephalon, led biology research at Locus Pharmaceuticals, and cofounded Melior Discovery as CSO. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Former Director of Clinical Research at Merck and VP of Clinical Development at Johnson & Johnson, later CMO of Ultragenyx and VP Clinical Development at BioClin Therapeutics. He earned his MD from the University of Chicago and completed a neurology residency and postdoc at UCSF.

A life sciences corporate attorney who supports new company formation, technology transfer, and regulatory affairs for MHV Labs. She was previously VP and Associate General Counsel at GlaxoSmithKline and practiced at Reed Smith LLP.

A biopharmaceutical scientist with over 25 years of experience who helps MHV evaluate new technologies and assess potential therapies. He previously worked at Cephalon and Locus Pharmaceuticals and co-founded Melior Discovery as Chief Scientific Officer.

Prior to Militia Hill Ventures, she spent 14 years as VP and Associate General Counsel at GlaxoSmithKline supporting corporate strategy and business development, and earlier practiced law at Reed Smith and a boutique health law firm. She holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a BS in Economics from the University of Delaware.

A systems neuroscientist and founding executive of BlackThorn Therapeutics, where he serves as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of R&D. He previously held research and development roles at Merck and Theravance Biopharma focused on CNS drug development.
