Alt Ventures backs high-potential New Zealand technology startups, having observed strong potential among Kiwi tech founders through years of advising and investing in high-growth private companies across the USA, UK, Europe and New Zealand. In 2019 it launched its first fund targeting pre-seed and seed stage startups using a differentiated model of shorter investment-window funds. In 2021 it established what it describes as New Zealand's first and only gaming venture fund to support game studios and technology businesses in the gaming and creative media sector. The firm aims to back ambitious founders building breakthrough technology.
