History

Founded in 2018, Georgiamune operated through a period of research and development before announcing in August 2023 the FDA clearance of its first IND, for GIM-122, alongside the close of an oversubscribed $75M Series A. A second IND, for the oral Treg inhibitor GIM-531, was cleared in May 2024, which the company said came within five months of launch of its clinical activity. The first patient was dosed with GIM-531 in a phase 1 advanced-cancer trial in July 2024, and the first participant was dosed with GIM-407 in a phase 1 healthy-volunteer trial in September 2024. In November 2024 the company said it closed out the year having initiated three assets into clinical trials and appointed Mark Avagliano as Chief Business Officer. Patrick Thompson joined as Chief Financial Officer in March 2025.
