Figure AI, Inc. is an American robotics company that develops autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots intended to perform tasks in both commercial and home settings. It has shipped three generations of hardware — Figure 01, a bipedal prototype aimed initially at logistics and warehousing; Figure 02, an industrial-oriented humanoid with five-fingered 16-degree-of-freedom hands, a 25 kg carry capacity, integrated cabling, a torso-mounted battery, six RGB cameras and roughly three times the onboard compute of its predecessor; and Figure 03, introduced in October 2025 as a ground-up hardware and software redesign for mass manufacturing and household environments.

Figure 03 stands about 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches (1.7 m) tall, weighs roughly 61 kg, carries 20 kg payloads, walks at 1.2 m/s and runs about five hours on a swappable 2.3 kWh battery that charges through wireless inductive pads. Reported changes include a camera system with twice the frame rate, a quarter the latency and a 60% wider field of view plus a camera in each hand, fingertip tactile sensors sensitive to forces as small as three grams, soft multi-density foam coverings, and removable, washable textiles. The company's AI stack, Helix, is a vision-language-action model that runs on embedded onboard GPUs and is described as layered into whole-body control, visuomotor control and semantic reasoning components trained on human demonstration data, robot performance logs and internet-scale human video. Helix 02, released in January 2026, extended the model across the whole body; demonstrations have included folding laundry, sorting packages, and loading and unloading a dishwasher.

Manufacturing is handled at BotQ, Figure's own California facility launched in early 2025, with stated capacity of up to 12,000 humanoids per year and a target of 100,000 robots over four years. Figure vertically integrates actuators, batteries, sensors, structures and electronics, and Figure 03 relies on die-casting, injection molding and stamping rather than CNC machining to reduce per-unit cost.
