Thiago Garuti studied industrial engineering and spent eight years working at hedge funds in Rio de Janeiro before joining venture builder Finxi in 2015, progressing from project manager to product roles. He founded Medicinae Solutions in 2016, overseeing product and development until the company was acquired by Afya in 2019.
