He had already founded and exited one company — Nite Bite, a workplace food ordering platform he built while at university — and worked as a Deloitte consultant and a Goldman Sachs commodities trader before starting Beamery in a London garage in 2013 with his older brother Abakar and Michael Paterson. The idea came from watching how their immigrant parents were judged on credentials rather than skills: Beamery's product maps the skills and tasks inside a workforce so companies can hire, redeploy and reskill against potential. He owned product and go-to-market through the company's seed-to-Series D run, hosts the talent podcast The Talent Blueprint, and now sits on Beamery's board while building a new company in stealth.
