Nicolás Szekasy is a co-founder and managing partner of Kaszek Ventures, a Latin American venture capital firm launched in 2011 that has raised over $2 billion and invested in more than 120 startups. Before founding Kaszek, he served for 10 years as CFO of MercadoLibre, Latin America's largest technology and online commerce company, where he led its $333 million IPO in 2007. Earlier in his career he spent seven years as CFO at PepsiCo. Through Kaszek, he has backed early-stage companies including Nubank, QuintoAndar, Kavak, Creditas, NuvemShop, Bitso, Gympass, NotCo, Konfío, Technysis, and Kushki. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and an economics degree from the University of Buenos Aires. He also holds board and trustee roles across organizations focused on entrepreneurship and private capital in Latin America.
