He is co-publisher of Noema Magazine and co-author of the books Intelligent Governance for the 21st Century: A Middle Way Between West and East and Renovating Democracy: Governing in the Age of Globalization and Digital Capitalism. He serves on the boards of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum Berggruen in Berlin, and is a member of the international councils of the Tate Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the J. Paul Getty Trust.
