Matthew Rhodes-Kropf is a Senior Lecturer in the Finance department at MIT Sloan, where he teaches entrepreneurship and fintech, and a managing partner at Tectonic Ventures. Over nearly three decades he has worked as an entrepreneur, investor, and professor, having previously taught venture capital and entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School. He helped start several companies, serving as CFO of Avid Radiopharmaceuticals (where the world's first Alzheimer's imaging agent was launched) and as COO of a multi-strat hedge fund, and advised the formation of Correlation Ventures and Stonehouse Corporation. His research on venture capital and exits has appeared in leading finance and economics journals. He founded Tectonic Ventures with Juan Leungli, formerly of General Catalyst, and Morris Miller, a Rackspace co-founder.
