David Deak is an Operating Partner who previously served as CTO and SVP of Lithium Americas Corp., overseeing technical, project, and marketing work on large lithium assets. He earlier led supply chain projects and battery engineering programs for Gigafactory 1 at Tesla, managed product and process development at MIT spinout Ambri Inc., and began his career in the CTO's office at Siemens Wind Power in Denmark. He holds a D.Phil. in Materials Science from Oxford University and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
