Bill Miller is the founder of Miller Value Partners, where he served as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer until May 2023. He previously co-founded Legg Mason Capital Management with Ernie Kiehne and managed the Legg Mason Capital Management Value Trust, becoming sole manager in December 1990 for the following 20 years. He holds an economics degree from Washington and Lee University, pursued graduate studies in philosophy at Johns Hopkins University, and received his CFA designation in 1986.
