Akash Kulgod is a cognitive scientist and co-founder of Dognosis, where he serves as Chief Canine Comrade and works on canine olfaction and early cancer detection. He studied Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley, where his thesis on a 4E cognitive model of canine olfaction received the Robert J. Glushko Prize for Distinguished Undergraduate Research, and he served as commencement speaker for the 2022 Cognitive Science class. He has conducted research with eight groups across five countries, is first author of multiple publications and a PCT patent, and has been named a two-time Emergent Ventures India grantee and a 2025 Foresight Institute Neurotechnology Fellow.
