Investment thesis
Deep Checks acts as a curated intermediary connecting deeptech founders with domain-expert seed-stage VCs. Founders submit a deck, which the team reviews individually and, if strong, surfaces to relevant investors along with a tailored one-pager tied to each investor's thesis and portfolio. It targets any deeptech sector — hardware, biotech (excluding pharma), space, robotics, chips, materials, energy — while explicitly excluding traditional SaaS/software. Startups at any stage with valuations of $20M or below and from any geography are welcome. Deep Checks does not invest as a group; interested investors reach out directly to founders. It was created by the team at Julian Capital with support from the deeptech community.
