Kealan Doyle previously led a structured equity products team at HSBC and held roles at Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, and UBS in capital markets and complex financial products. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Toronto. He has worked with venture capital-backed businesses for over 20 years, first in corporate finance advisory and later as a fund manager.

Nicholas Nicolaides began his career in investment banking in 1994, working in equity capital markets, M&A, and private equity at firms including BNP Paribas, Lehman Brothers, and various SME brokerages, with an early focus on technology, media, and telecoms. In 2013 he co-founded Symvan Capital with Kealan Doyle to invest in early-stage technology companies through SEIS and EIS portfolios. He holds an MBA from Imperial College School of Management and a BSc (Hons) in Statistics from UCL, and is an EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner level.

Jizhen Wang has over 15 years of corporate finance experience, including senior financial roles at global corporations such as ADM and Cargill, with a focus on taxation, risk management, and cross-border financial operations. A qualified ACCA member, Wang relocated to the UK from China and developed experience in the property investment sector, including insights into high-net-worth Chinese investors in the UK market. At Symvan Capital, Wang serves as Director, providing financial guidance, risk assessment, and strategic input.

Michael Theodosiou studied English at UCL, then completed a law conversion course and trained as a barrister after earning his LLB and being called to the Bar. He moved into the tech sector via an edtech startup before joining Symvan Capital, where he has worked for around a decade across investment management, including sourcing, due diligence, term negotiation, investment recommendations, and portfolio support. He focuses on very early-stage companies and has particular interest in legal and education technology.

Andrea Maia-Davies began her career at a biotech startup working across its legal and operations functions before becoming involved in the UK's early-stage ecosystem, where she has worked with founders and investors on scaling, deal structuring, and capital raising, including S/EIS funding rounds and investor relations. At Symvan Capital she works across the full investment lifecycle, supporting the Investment Managers with sourcing and evaluating opportunities, due diligence, and post-investment portfolio support. She brings a commercial and legal background in risk assessment and negotiation.

Daniaal Ali began his career at a wealth management firm, supporting financial advisers and paraplanners while managing client data and operational communications. At Symvan Capital, he manages and streamlines client communications and works with internal systems to optimise processes, serving as a central point of contact for clients.

Jessica Baker started working in alternative investments in 2015 at an Oxford-based venture capital firm. She later held senior roles at a fintech and investment platform, where she led client onboarding, managed relationships with more than 50 funds, and supported fundraising and startup partners. She is a PRINCE2-certified project manager and, at Symvan Capital, focuses on supporting C-suite members, leading internal projects, connecting the sales and investment teams, and overseeing marketing and communications.

Nina Carr has worked in early-stage venture capital since 2018, following an earlier career as an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. She works with investors, advisers, family offices, and institutions across the UK on tax-efficient early-stage and growth investment, focusing on expanding the investment pipeline and client outcomes.

Robert Jones is a Senior Business Development Manager at Symvan Capital, where he works with financial advisers to promote and distribute tax-advantaged investments such as EIS and SEIS across England, Scotland, and Wales. He has around 11 years of experience in venture capital and previously worked in investment management and investment banking at Investec and Barclays Capital, with over 30 years of total experience. His role includes growing the firm's presence on national network and bank panels and helping source new investee companies for the funds.
