Investment thesis
Sun Capital focuses on investing in companies operating in growing markets where there are tangible opportunities for performance improvement, spanning a wide range of industry verticals and transaction structures. A central part of the firm's strategy is add-on acquisitions, which it uses to help portfolio companies expand into new product lines, geographies and customer channels. Reflecting this operationally driven approach, roughly half of all deals in the firm's history have been add-on acquisitions. Sun Capital actively seeks add-on opportunities of any size to bolt onto its existing portfolio companies.
