Investment thesis
The firm aims to make tourism a core Japanese industry and contribute to regional revitalization. Since launching its first fund in April 2018, it has backed projects that discover and enhance tourism resources and expand supporting reception facilities across regions, while investing in ventures offering new services and business models that improve convenience for domestic and inbound travelers. It views inbound tourism as effectively an export industry with major economic ripple effects, second only to autos. Guided by a 'visit, live, work, invest' sustainable cycle promoted by global DMO bodies, it operates as a hybrid fund combining real estate and venture investment.
