Quorum invests in early-stage startups and boosts their odds of success by mobilizing a community of Specialist Limited Partners (SLPs) who are personally invested. GPs first assess whether a quorum of relevant domain experts can be assembled; if not, they pass quickly. SLPs and GPs jointly evaluate risks, fill knowledge gaps, and vote on whether to invest. Founders gain access to tailored introductions and expert guidance at every stage. The firm combines specialist-level conviction with the nimbleness and diversification of a generalist investor, and tends to expand its positions over time, sometimes investing up to 10x its initial check in later rounds.
