Investment thesis
Mo Angels brings together business angels and early-stage startups to build a thriving investing ecosystem in emerging markets. It invests in companies past the friends-and-family stage that may have little or no revenue but have grants, funding, or a proof of concept in place, with sound financial statements. The network focuses primarily on Mauritius, Indian Ocean Islands, and Africa, while remaining open to other geographies. It invests members' personal funds across multiple sectors, applying IFC exclusion lists, and ensures companies are investment-ready with support from mentors and investors. It collaborates with incubators, accelerators, mentors, and government to help founders access capital and networks.
