Michael Barcia trained as an accountant with Ernst & Young in Liverpool and worked as a financial controller at Kellogg's before moving into corporate finance. In 2002 he founded the predecessor to Meridian in partnership with a regional law firm, later renamed Meridian Corporate Finance, and completed a management buyout of the business in October 2008. He studied at Bangor University, holds the Corporate Finance qualification, and acts as a non-executive director for a number of clients.

Philip Mettam joined Meridian in 2010 and helped make and manage the firm's first technology sector investments, including Blis, NewsWhip and LoveHolidays. He works in M&A and serves as a board member, covering deal sourcing and evaluation, supporting management teams on growth strategies, and exiting investments. He currently works closely with the management teams at D R Communications, MyFibre and Diametric.

Mark Paul is a Director at Meridian Corporate Finance, where he advises owner-managed businesses on structuring, M&A transactions, and long-term matters including succession planning, business growth, exit preparation, and wealth management. He is also a Partner in Meridian Growth Capital, an investment fund focused on SME businesses. His recognition includes regional awards such as Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year and Corporate Finance Team of the Year.

Kelly Cheales has been with Meridian Growth Capital since its inception, overseeing administration functions including accounting, compliance, IT, marketing, event management, HR, and day-to-day operations. She serves as the main point of contact for clients and intermediaries and supports the team with sector and acquirer research. She has over 25 years of professional experience.

Prabin Sunar is an ICAEW-qualified chartered accountant with a background in corporate finance and investment. Since 2018 he has worked with entrepreneur-led and high-growth businesses on fundraising, acquisitions, and growth strategy across the South of England. At Meridian Growth Capital he focuses on identifying, structuring, and managing investments and holds several board observer roles, with an interest in technology and business services.
