Founded the firm in 1958 after earning a degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Born in Cairo in 1928, he built the firm into the largest investment advisory firm in the Southwest and served as Chairman and Co-CIO until his death in May 2022.

Anthony J. Gracely is a Partner, Senior Research Analyst, and Director of ESG at Fayez Sarofim & Co., which he joined in 2011. His research covers the aerospace and defense, global pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and energy infrastructure industries, and in his ESG role he oversees ESG research, ratings, and integration. Gracely holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Texas, and he previously worked at EDP Renewables and in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley.

John Gallo is Director of Information Technology & Security at Fayez Sarofim & Co., with over 25 years of experience in enterprise IT modernization, cybersecurity strategy, and infrastructure. He received a CSO50 award in 2019 for a Zero Trust model implemented at TDECU, has served as a board member of the CISOExec Network since 2018, chairs the CUFSLP cybersecurity board, and was elected to the BeyondID/Okta Advisory Board in 2022. He has presented at Gartner IAM and Houston's Leadership Summit between 2022 and 2024.

Copeland serves as a board member and advisor to healthcare companies, including portfolio company board roles for private equity firms TPG Growth, ChrysCapital, and Chicago Pacific Founders, and chairs the Press Ganey Advisory Board while also sitting on the board of Nemours Children's Health. He previously spent 11 years as CEO of Hartford HealthCare, a regional integrated healthcare delivery system, where annual revenue grew from $1 billion to $5 billion and the organization expanded to more than 300 sites of care. He holds a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York, and completed the Wharton School CEO Program for Healthcare Leadership.

S.E. Cody Dick is a Partner at Fayez Sarofim & Co., where the focus is on domestic and global equities with an emphasis on the Energy sector and coverage extending to portions of the Industrials, Materials, and Utilities sectors. Responsibilities include equity research roles such as membership on the Investment Committee, service as a Sector Leader, and client portfolio management.
