Fathom Fund invests in technology platforms at the pre-commercialization or early-commercialization stage, where meaningful technical and scale-up risk remains. It seeks ambitious founders with strong technical backgrounds and significant operating experience — typically scientists and engineers pursuing radically new approaches that span multiple markets or create entirely new ones. The firm conducts rigorous technical diligence supported by a network of subject-matter experts and industry leaders, and forms independent views on when and how disruption will occur while learning from founders. Although its primary focus is companies raising their first institutional round, Fathom is positioned to support companies across their full life cycle.
