CEA Investissement
Corporate VCPre-Seed–Late Stage
Investment thesis
Founded to support the CEA's entrepreneurship and spin-off policy, CEA Investissement invests directly in startups that valorize technologies and patents developed in CEA and leading French laboratories. It takes founder-level stakes at company creation, supports the scientific and commercial development of spin-offs, and seeks financial returns while retaining indirect control over CEA-derived technologies. It launched the ATI seed fund in 2013 and, in partnership with Amundi, created Supernova Invest in 2017 to expand its fund-of-funds activity, enabling support for deeptech startups from creation through seed, private equity, and growth capital.
