Previously an Investing Partner at a16z Bio + Health, and held roles as R&D Scientist and Business Development leader at Amgen. She has a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and a B.S. from MIT.

Entrepreneur and scientist working on AI, robotics, and neuroscience who co-founded Numenta and Vicarious. At Numenta, he co-developed the theory of Hierarchical Temporal Memory. Vicarious was acquired by Alphabet to advance robotics and AGI efforts. He holds advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and IIT Bombay.

Chief Scientist for Neuro at Astera who previously was a professor at UC Berkeley in the Neuroscience Department and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator. She is recognized for elucidating the coding principles of the primate face-processing system and developing theoretical accounts of how object representations emerge in the visual system.

He has incubated new industries including the cargo airship sector, published in major outlets, and negotiated global standards. He earned a PhD in economics from George Mason University.
