Druid positions its multi-agent architecture against single-task AI tools by decomposing business goals into subtasks handled by specialist agents with shared context, governance and observability, so one platform can replace multiple point solutions. It also emphasizes model neutrality via the Conductor layer, a proprietary Becus LLM for regulated and air-gapped environments, industry-trained NLP said to outperform generic LLM-only pipelines on domain-specific enterprise data, full response traceability, and a large library of prebuilt integrations and agent templates.

Technology

The platform pairs industry-trained NLP models for intent detection, named-entity extraction and cross-channel context retention with LLM-backed agentic reasoning grounded in retrieval-augmented generation. Supported model backends include Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Druid's proprietary Becus LLM for air-gapped and on-premises use. The Conductor orchestration layer routes subtasks to specialist agents, abstracts model selection so models can be swapped or A/B tested without changing conversation flows, and produces full provenance logs for each response. The Druid Knowledge Base unifies databases, spreadsheets, documents, email, CRM and HR data as a single source of truth, and over 200 enterprise integrations are available out of the box.

Named customers include AXA Insurance, Carrefour, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Georgia Southern University, Kmart Australia, Liberty Global, MatrixCare, the UK National Health Service, Orange and Auchan.

Geography

Originating in Romania (the Series A was announced from Bucharest), Druid serves clients globally across Europe, North America and other regions; it planned offices in France and Germany by the end of 2022 while consolidating its UK and US presence, and the 2025 Series C is intended to fund expansion into the U.S. and elsewhere.

History

According to the company, Druid was founded in 2018 by a team of AI PhDs, enterprise software engineers and business consultants. In 2019 it added conversational capabilities to RPA robots through an alliance with UiPath. It raised a $15 million Series A in May 2022 under CEO Liviu Dragan, followed by a $30 million Series B announced in September 2023. In September 2025 the company raised a $31 million Series C and appointed Joseph Kim as CEO, with co-founder Andreea Plesea, who had been interim CEO, moving to chief operating officer. In October 2025 it announced self-building enterprise AI agents.
