Armory

Armory develops continuous deployment tooling built around Spinnaker, the open-source multi-cloud continuous delivery platform. Its documented product line spans three offerings: Armory Continuous Deployment-as-a-Service, a hosted service oriented around declarative, GitOps-style deployments; Armory Continuous Deployment Self-Hosted and Managed, an enterprise distribution of Spinnaker installed in a customer's own cloud and operated by Armory engineers; and the Armory Scale Agent for Spinnaker and Kubernetes, aimed at Kubernetes deployments at large scale.

The company maintains a substantial public engineering presence, publishing and forking more than 120 repositories under the armory-io GitHub organization. These include forks of core Spinnaker services such as clouddriver, orca, echo, fiat, kork, rosco and swabbie, an armory-stack repository holding stable Armory service versions for the Armory Platform, and quick-spin, a one-line minimal Spinnaker install. Armory also distributes a command-line tool, the Armory CLI ("arm"), which renders dinghyfiles offline from JSON or YAML templates, supports modules and raw pipeline data, ships as a Docker image and as OS binaries, and can be wired into IntelliJ as an external tool for validating pipelines during editing.
