Matthew Bedewitz holds a BS in Horticulture Science and a PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology from Michigan State University, where he characterized enzymes involved in alkaloid production. He brings expertise in protein engineering, genetics, and analytical chemistry, and previously collaborated on a DARPA protein engineering project before cofounding Ohmic Biosciences to focus on crop disease resistance.
